Feminine Pirate

I joined a pirate swap on SCS awhile ago and figured I better whip something up. I pulled out some supplies and was drawing a blank, then I thought hey, what not a girl pirate card, so this is what I came up with.
All supplies SU unless noted
Base is ww, black mat, 2.25" strip of pixie pink, with Halloween DSP from the fall/winter 2008 catalogue 2", I stamped the ship from Ahoy Matey, coloured it in with watercolour crayons, matted in pixie pink, topped it off with some black and white eyelash ribbon, I think I am going to dazzling diamond the heart on the ship.

Watercolouring

Hey peeps, I've been kinda neglectful, it's just that time of year. I haven't done masculine in awhile, which I really, really like to do. I find them so much easier then any other, I guess it's because you can keep it simple, you don''t have to worry about all the "girly" stuff like flowers and bling. I actually pulled out some of my scrap DP and got to use some of it up.

Very Vanilla back ground (SU), strip of ???? DP, with Blue Walmart Ribbon, the mat around the bear is brocade blue (SU), bear is from the SU set Yukon, I stamped the image on watercolour paper (SU), then coloured it in with SU watercolour crayons

Altered lunch tins

I'm baaaack (in creepy poltergeist voice). I had the week off for Easter break and spent it painting my daughters room. You won't see pics for awhile as I want to let the paint cure before I put up the decor elements.
Here are 2 of the tins I made for the golf tourney, all 4 are pretty much the same I just used the paper differently on all of them.
All supplies SU unless noted.
I bought the metal lunch tins from Micheal's, the paper is Darling Dots from SAB, certainly celery ribbon is from SAB as well, the blue ribbon is from WalMart, added some flowers and ribbon on the handle. These make great gifts when filled with cards and envelopes, I just made one for my niece for her birthday. A tutorial for the lunch tin can be found here.

New fave

I have to say that I love this card, unfortunately it is not my own design. I came across it somewhere, shame on me and had to have one like it, I changed the ribbon and sentiment. I have had the tart n tangy stamp set for awhile but didn't do anything with it. I went on a mission for some examples and found some really great ones to inspire me, so what I am saying is expect to see a few from tart n tangy.

All supplies SU unless noted

Whisper white base 2.25" strip of Summer Picnic DSP, strip of Pumpkin Pie, which I scalloped with a corner rounder from Wal Mart. Old olive ribbon. Pumpkin Pie with scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch with Summer Picnic DSP, apple stamp from tart n tangy in old olive ink. The crooked birthday sentiment is from Upsy Daisy.

Cards for a cause

Sick of my SAB stuff yet? Hey free product, I am usin like crazy. A friend of mine puts on a "Girls gone wild" golf tournament for breast cancer and asked me to donate something. I am/have made metal lunch tins and am going to fill them with cards that I make, this being one of them. I will post pics of the metal tins later.

All supplies SU, unless noted

Base is choc chip, mat is from the SAB paper Delicate Dots (bashful blue), 2.5" strip of choc chip then punched with the scallop border punch. The flowers are from SAB's Polka Dot Punches stamp set. I used heat n stick powder with versamark and then the Fine Cosmo Glitter. The ribbon is probably from Wal Mart. The scallop oval punch is from the new SU mini and the stamp inside is from Fiskars
