Toilet paper roll scrapbook

Long time no blog, ha ha ha, well up for your viewing pleasure today is a little scrap album made out of toilet paper tubes, that's right folks TOILET PAPER TUBES. As usual this is not my original idea, something I stumbled upon. Isn't this rockin, I think I say that about alot of things.
All supplies SU unless noted
I took 3 empty toilet paper rolls and flattened the heck out of them, a bone folder works great for this.
I cut my patterned paper 4" x 5.5" (your rolls might differ) and ran a few rows of sticky strip down it,. adhered to toilet paper roll.
After papering all your rolls, and decorating as you see fit, using a crop a dile and jumbo eyelets, put an eyelet at the end of one side, this is how they fit on the ring.
Now eyeball up some coordinating card stock and make your inserts and decorate.

Been a real busy week for me, today is my son's birthday so I have been busy prepping for that. I haven't had time to craft so I whipped out one of my 6 x 6 albums and am posting that, this pic is a few years old.

All items SU unless noted

Base is tempting turq, strip of DP is lovely lilac from the winter/fall catty. Picture is matted in whisper white. I stamped an image from Totally tamps in lovely lilac then used the matching tab punch. The hearts are from Priceless which I glittered away (my new fave-glitter). Tag punch which I wrote my age in lovely lilac and then used a dollar store arrow brad pointing towards moi!!

Finally, a page

I got into paper crafting through scrap booking. I scrapbook more then I do anything else, unfortunately I don't seem to be able to photograph them very well so I don't post them often. I made this page to demo at my stamp club. We just made the 8.5 x 11 and then I showed them what I did with it putting it onto a 12 x 12 as that is what most size our albums are.
All supplies SU unless noted
The 12 x 12 is choc chip, various buttons-not SU, and the gorgeous sweet sticky cuts with dazzling diamonds, oh and a piece of ww card stock.
The 8.5 x 11 base is Kiwi Kiss, the strip of dp is from Bella Rose, my photo mats are riding hood red. I stamped the scallop image from SAB's Polka dot punches on ww with real red and punched out with the scallop punch, mat of choc chip, and the "jack" image from Wow flowers in kiwi kiss, then popped up with dimensional. Grabbed some colour coordinated ribbon, not SU, fanned them out then made a pewter build a brad with the same dp as the strip.

Here is the 3 transitional scrap book pages together. Pretty spiffy eh?

The 12 x 12

Ok, here it is the 12 x 12. I know it's not that great of a pic but I'm tryin.

All supplies SU

Paper is not quite navy textured cardstock, the DSP on it is from urban garden. I used a strip of kiwi kiss, the square scallop punch in not quite navy and the square punch. The stamp set used is pocket silhouettes in kiwi kiss ink. Last but not least, 2 buttons from the button bouquet.

2 steps together

Here they are put together, scroll down to other posts to see what I am talking about, stay tuned for the 12 x12

Step 2

Ok, I will give you a shot of the next step.

8.5 x 11 baja breeze, I matted a piece of urban garden DSP on white, the strip that I stamped is whisper white matted on not quite navy. I used the stamp set Pocket silhouettes in not quite navy ink, and once again used the mat pack.

Transitional scrapbooking

Holy batman it's been ages since I blogged, why you ask, because I have been busy CRAFTING.

I've started doing transitional pages. First you do a 6 x 6, then 8.5 x 11, then 12 x 12. You will have to keep checking back to see the finished pages.

All supplies SU unless noted.

This is a 6 x 6 kiwi kiss background stamped with itty bitty borders in versamark. The strip of DSP is Urban garden. The mat is baja breeze and around it I punched holes using the mat pack, you can't really see it. The saying comes from the stamp set smarty pants, I popped up using a pop dot, 2 not quite navy brads to top it off.

"boy" 6 x 6

You lucky dogs you, 2 posts in 1 DAY. It's because I don't want my puter to crash on me and my 1 faithful follower to be disappointed.

I have started doing 6 x 6's and am kinda diggin them. I am a scrapbooker more then anything so when I pay good money for stuff I am getting my money's worth. I started trying to use my stamps on every scrapbook page.

All supplies SU

Background old olive, stamped with veramark with stamp set starstruck, strip of summer picnic DSP, only orange mat, I made the corners ticket like with the small circle punch, tab punch in bashful blue, mat pack, square scallop punch, It's all good stamp set.

My guys

This is a great layout I did of my 2 favourite guys. It was when hubby was going to schoold. He was doing some homework so my son plopped down beside him and did some of his own reading.

The chipboard swirl is from a pirate set (go figure), the rubons are SU, buttons from everywhere and the paper from a kit.

Soccer

The pic isn't the greatest but it's a start. I scrapbook waayyy more then anything. Now all I have to do is figure out how to take good pictures. I am not someone who is good with "recipes" so we will see how that develops as my blog goes.
I know I used the SU set called I love soccer, thanks to my sister for loaning it to me.
