I have my splurge tomorrow night, and have not been able to come up with my second project. DH suggested something St. Patricks day, so this is what I came up with, pretty simple and basic but sometimes those are the best cards. I made about 7 of these with different variations. I sure hope people don't get sick of me sending them cards.
All supplies SU.
The card base is basic black, the mat gable green. I took the clover from the stamp set Year Round Fun II and stamped it on whisper white (1.5 x 5.25) then matted on black mat (1.75 x 5.25). I used the stamp set Pinch Proof for the big clover in the scallop. I used heat and stick powder and then green glitter from the Fine Cosmo? glitter stack. I punched it out with the 1 3/8 circle punch. Punched out a basic black scallop, and used the white gel pen.

Ohhh, I love, love the black and green! LOVE IT! great card, I like how you've made your own DP with the little shamrock stamp. Cool.
it may be simple but itlike you said sometimes is best, looks brill, love the colour, good luck in the candy give away, x carol
Simple layouts always look great because you can focus in on the main image. The glitter is a nice touch.
I really like this. I like what you did with the clover.
We don't have those stamp sets in the UK which is a real shame - I know a friend was really struggling to make a set of St Patrick's Day cards for family. I do like the black and green combo though and will steal that to use. TFS. Sara xx
Great card! I really like simple cards sometimes all the extra stuff is just that extra stuff. Love it!
